The main focus of the ECOPHOS project is to promote a highly efficient and environmentally friendly processes based on novel production technologies of wide range of phosphorus-containing chemicals:
- phosphoric acid,
- phosphorus-containing salts,
- phosphorous acid and
- phosphates.
The new developed technologies applied to the processing of industrial urban wastes will provide cheaper products of higher quality and will directly contribute to environmental pollution risk mitigation.
The application of highly efficient technologies will make it possible to develop cost effective solutions. The transfer of the developed technology will require various types of activities including establishing new businesses in consulting, engineering and joint ventures.
The overall strategic impact of the proposed project is the reinforcement of the environmental dimension of the processing industries in the NIS countries. The solutions worked out in this project could provide similar benefits if applied in other EU countries especially in the New Member States.
